Anyone have virtual doctor’s visits during this pandemic (telemedicine/video visits)? I have had a few telemedicine appointments with my psychiatrist (Autism doctor/medications). He is seeing almost all patients virtually. I like the aspect of telemedicine because it helps some of us with Autism take care of our needs from home. Some of us are most comfortable at home and not really comfortable at the doctor’s office. Anxiety can be high that even stepping into the doctor’s office can bring a lot of anxiety. 96% of visits at my clinic are virtual now while the other 4% were virtual before COVID. I think telemedicine is a good idea for patients who are too nervous to go into the building. A lot of them were seen in the parking lot because they were so nervous. That’s why I like telemedicine.
